LiteCode: Systems Offline
Bring the signal back.
October, 1972. Florida's Space Coast. You've relocated to work for Marbas Systems, a private space telecommunications company. Its facilities need repairs, and the original control software is largely unrecoverable.
The circuits can be repaired. The software has to be rewritten.
Your tool is LiteCode: a compact assembly programming environment running on a tiny eight-bit computer. Take a work order, write the code, and make the hardware produce the required results.
From the service bench to the satellite uplink
Work through 32 freely selectable contracts covering receiver circuits, telephone routing, telemetry, command buffers, signal processing, and uplink interlocks.
The first eight jobs introduce the fundamentals with guided instructions. Later contracts give you increasingly involved problems—and leave the implementation to you.
Your workspace keeps source code, live hardware values, memory, stack, test results, and an instruction reference together on one compact terminal screen. Run your program, inspect what changed, and work out why.
Small machine. Plenty to figure out.
- 35 assembly instructions with arithmetic, bit operations, branches, and subroutines.
- 128 bytes of RAM, an eight-byte stack, and up to 256 instructions per program.
- Four inputs and four outputs, with expected and actual results shown side by side.
- Labels, pointers, and processor flags.
- Decimal and hexadecimal displays.
- A full operator manual and guided workspace tour.
- Eight terminal palettes, radio controls, and terminal sound effects.
- A separate sandbox for your own experiments.
Find a working solution, then make it smaller or faster. Program size and executed instruction count provide optimisation scores. Every contract is available from the start.

This jam build has no persistent saves. Your source and results remain available during the current session, but do not survive closing or reloading the game.

Doesn't seem to load; just sits at the Unity logo and empty progress bar (Chrome 154 on Mac OS).
